The Notre-Dame church was built on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa. Remains of this ancient site were used during the raising of the single nave of the church (which is dated, like the bay before the choir, from the XNUMXth century, i.e. the oldest parts of this Romanesque-style building) .
In the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, it was decided to rebuild the chevet and the facade using a regular device.
A bell tower surmounts the western facade, the base of which consists of a portal with carved capitals. This Romanesque portal is beautifully highlighted because it is in a projecting front body.
The modillions of the apse cornice, which date from the XNUMXth century, are composed of ravens with human heads of remarkable craftsmanship.
