The Notre-Dame de Cabara church, in the neo-Gothic style, was completed in 1882 at the bottom of the village. It has a remarkable slender spire that overlooks a belfry.
Like many Gironde churches of this style and of this period, it was built at the instigation of Cardinal Donnet (Archbishop of Bordeaux).
It replaced, as a parish church, the Romanesque church that existed in Haut Cabara, which had become too dilapidated in the second half of the XNUMXth century, and which was destroyed for the occasion.
