The 42nd edition of the European Heritage Days will take place on September 20 and 21, 2025, on the theme of "Architectural Heritage." A unique opportunity to celebrate the richness and diversity of our national and, above all, local heritage.

Castillon-la-bataille On Sunday, September 21, attend this speech-based story, which follows the restoration of the 2th-century painting of the Crucifixion, which has been reinstalled in the church of Castillon-la-Bataille. The text, written by Jean Richebé, will be recited by an adult, followed by two children. Songs and musical pieces will enhance this moment.
Gensac : Self-guided or guided tours of the restored frescoes of the Notre-Dame de Gensac church on Saturdays and Sundays. After five years of work, the frescoes offer a new perspective on the church. Enjoy the sculpture exhibition by Art Ni during your visit.
Pessac-sur-Dordogne : exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and creative furniture in the Saint-Vincent church in Pessac on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September.
Saint-Michel-de-Montaigne : The actor Pierre Le Franc, known for his original tour-shows which bring to life the great figures of history, is this time coming to live in the Tour de Montaigne for a weekend.
Saint-Vincent-de-Pertignas: Free church tours from Saturday to Sunday. Dive into history by stepping into the shoes of detectives from the past, through free, open-access games designed to amaze young and old alike.
Rauzan : free visit of the castle on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. and free / 40-minute guided tour of the Grotte Célestine, the only underground river developed in Gironde, price of €5 and limited to 18 people.
