What is Archistoire?
Archistoire is a mobile app developed by Studio 9B+ and the Council of Architecture, Urban Planning, and the Environment. It allows you to (re)discover heritage on-site or from home via virtual tours. Download the app, grab your phone, and explore the region from a new perspective!
The towns of Castillon-la-Bataille and Pujols-sur-Dordogne each have their own trail. These 360° virtual walks feature reconstructions, drawings, postcards, and timelines. Archistoire highlights existing and vanished sites and monuments, the importance of river trade, and the heritage gems of our region. Interact with Eleanor of Aquitaine, Léo Drouyn, Lawrence of Arabia, and many others to immerse yourself in the history of the Land of Great Men.
Two other Archistoire trails will be launched in the fall of 2025 on the occasion of the European Heritage Days: the first will be shared between Gensac and Pessac-sur-Dordogne, the second will focus on Rauzan.
