Star rating is a voluntary approach by hosts which provides a guarantee of quality, services and comfort to French and international customers.
Accommodation controls are carried out by an accredited control body every 5 years. Thoroughly reformed in 2009, the classification aims main objective of providing an official guarantee of quality of service and comfort in French tourist accommodation. Voluntary, it remains the official benchmark for the quality of accommodation.
The tourist offer is very competitive today. To attract visitors and retain them, accommodation must meet criteria of quality, comfort and safety, naturally demanded by tourist customers.
The Community of Municipalities is already supporting accommodation providers in the procedures allowing them to obtain the new classification standards (from 1 to 5 stars, classifications adapted to international standards) through visits and upstream engineering. the official process.
The classification is valid for 5 years. The visit by an approved organization costs between 150 and 300 €.
Today, it is necessary for the stock of unclassified tourist accommodation to move upmarket in order to reinforce the expectations of an increasingly demanding tourist clientele.
The ranking strengths for a web host are as follows:

In this context, it is proposed to provide them with financial support, subject to the following conditions:
- engage in a quality approach by providing proof of obtaining the classification and / or qualification
- be a member of the Castillon-Pujols Tourist Office
- be limited to one subsidy per accommodation for each owner.
The amount of aid from the Castillon-Pujols Community of Municipalities will be paid in the form of a subsidy corresponding to 30% of the invoice paid (within the limit of the annual budget allocated to this support)
