SAINT-FLORENCE
This picturesque, hilly walk offers great views. It begins and ends at the Sainte-Florence Arboretum where you can picnic and relax in the tranquility of a unique green space in Gironde. It continues with a sustained climb which leads to a view of the Dordogne Valley. You will cross vineyards, woods and meadows.

Start date
The loop starts from the arboretum. Pass in front of the town hall, cross the road and take the street in front of you. Continue to the Sainte-Florence church.

Step 2
Take the path to the left of the church which will take you between the vines then into the woods.

At the crossroads, turn left then right after the plot of vines to enter the woods again. Follow the path which will lead you to a small tarmac road. At the first bend, turn left and continue on this small road.

Turn left at the first intersection to take the “Route de Cardeneau” and continue to the hamlet of the same name.

At the crossroads, cross the road and go straight ahead (dead end).

Turn right to take the path between the vines towards the water tower. At the water tower, follow the path in front of you (the water tower is on your left). Continue on this path between the vines. At the grove, take the path on your right to join the road.

When you reach the road, cross it and take the opposite road towards Pourjac. At the end of the small road, after the houses, continue on the grassy path in the woods.

After this short passage through the woods, you arrive at a plot of vines. Turn immediately right to enter the woods again.

Take the path which climbs slightly on your right, follow it between the woods.

At the crossroads, turn left to go back up towards the Sainte-Florence church. After the church, follow the road to return to the starting point.
