Your itinerary

BRANE

Explore the paths of the Entre-Deux-Mers vineyard and discover the Dordogne from different angles thanks to the many viewpoints on its meanders.
1

Start date

Park in the town hall car park, Place du 11 Novembre 1918. With your back to the town hall, follow Avenue du 8 mai 1945 on the left. Turn left onto Rue du Port Leyron and cross the bridge over the Lyssandre to reach a crossroads.
2

Step 2

Turn right towards the quays. Go down to the edge of the Dordogne, then go back up via Impasse des Quais to the end and turn right, then return to the crossroads. Stay right. At the parking lot, turn right. As you leave the village, turn onto the dirt road that climbs to the left, into the woods where you have a magnificent view of the Dordogne. Walk along the wood pigeon house and arrive at some vineyards. Reach the corner of the first plot.
3

Step 3

Head right along the path and continue until you reach the D18 where you turn right. Turn at the first intersection on your left onto Route de Lafon de Lourme.
4

Step 4

Follow the road to the left and arrive at the D936. Turn right then left onto the grassy path towards the place called Tenot. At the end of this path, turn right onto the small tarmac road and follow it to the Route de la Gendarmerie, its terminus.
5

Step 5

Turn left. Further on, turn right onto Route de Ninon. Go down the road and cross the bridge over the Lyssandre. Follow the vineyard path in front of you and rejoin the road.
6

Step 6

Turn right, then right again, into the first avenue of vines. Follow the rows, then turn left to go along Le Lyssandre and reach the place called Le Plantier. Then, at the last plot of vines, turn left, then right, and reach the road.
7

Step 7

Turn right, continue along this small road, and turn left onto the path between the two fields. Follow the path to Brussac. Arrive in the hamlet and turn right, then left at the first crossroads. Pass the houses, follow the path between the vines, and turn right onto the D122 until the junction towards Jean Larc.
8

Step 8

Turn left towards Jean Larc. After passing the first house on your left, take the limestone path on the left. Go down the path, cross the stream, then go back up the path towards the church of Lugaignac.
9

Step 9

Walk along the church on the left. At the intersection, turn right and then right again towards the town hall. Follow the road to the village of Lugaignac. Take the small road on the left just before the town hall. At the end of this road, turn right and then left onto the first path between the vines. Walk along the grove on the left and join the road.
10

Step 10

Turn left onto the road towards the mill. Cross the intersection with the D19 with caution and take the dirt road between the vineyards on your left. Follow this road to reach the housing estate in Pérey.
11

Step 11

On the paved road, turn right into the first vineyard avenue. After passing the first plot, follow the path on the right and continue straight ahead to reach the road.
12

Step 12

Turn right until you reach the departmental road (D19E2). Cross it carefully to take the small road opposite (Labroue sign). Cross the hamlet of Labroue then follow the dirt road that leads to the woods, and go back up to the church.
13

Step 13

After passing the church and the parking lot, cross the D19E2 with caution and take the small road opposite along the wall. On the left, you can see the XNUMXth-century Château de l'Heyrisson. At the stop sign, cross the road and take the path between the vines in front of you. Enter the woods and follow the path to reach the plateau. Continue until you reach the road.
14

Step 14

Turn right and then immediately left onto the grassy path. At the vineyard plot, turn left, then right onto the road, then left after the cemetery. You will come to a fork in the road.
15

Step 15

Turn right and pass the "Cabara" sign. At the stop sign, cross the departmental road to take the road opposite. Go down into the village with a beautiful view of the meandering Dordogne River. Continue to the second bend.
16

Step 16

Take a grassy path straight down and enter the woods. Go through the small wooden gate and arrive in the village. Follow the small road straight to the Dordogne and descend left to the Port of Cabara.
17

Step 17

Turn left onto Avenue du Port. After the speed bump, turn right onto Rue Beylit. At the intersection, stay left and return to the D18. Keep right until you reach a dead end.
18

Step 18

Turn right at the cul-de-sac, towards La Roucaude. Go straight ahead to the banks of the Dordogne. Then, turn left and follow the river. After the vineyards, turn right at the hedge, before the garden. At the road, keep right and follow the path along the Dordogne. After passing the fishing hut, follow the limestone path, always staying straight ahead, until this is no longer possible at Grands Prés.
19

Step 19

At the end of the path, turn left and continue until you reach the D18. Cross it carefully and take the path opposite towards the place called Guspit. Pass the building and enter the woods (be careful, the path can become slippery in heavy rain). Return to the road further up.
20

Step 20

Turn right and walk downhill for about 48 meters. Then take the small street on the right along the stone wall. At the cross (elevation XNUMX), turn right and go down the path that leads to a small tarmac road.
21

Step 21

Turn right onto Rue de Lillot. Then turn left onto Rue des Pêcheurs. At the church, turn left onto the D936, then immediately right onto the street opposite the church. At the end of the street, turn left to return to your starting point.
