MOTION

This second loop, from Ruch to the north of the village, meanders over the wine-growing plateau and heads towards the Escouach river, passing near the Château de Vaure, a particularly remarkable building in the town.

Start date

From the car park next to the restaurant, head west then straight ahead to pass in front of the Town Hall then continue opposite in Rue Théo Thurier. At 50 meters, cross the street, continue opposite towards the North for 200 meters.

Step 2

Turn left at the T-junction heading West towards Phillipon.

Step 3

Pass the crossroads of Phillipon and 50 meters turn right (dirt road) then follow the path in the vineyards heading north to join the D126.

Step 4

Cross the D126, turn left and 50 meters right to continue on the path (North) then 200 meters turn right along the hillside towards East.

Step 5

At the Château de Vaure, bypass it to the right then to the left to find the D232. Turn left, go around the castle and the cooperative cellar to reach a crossroads (avoid the road passing through the vineyards).

Step 6

At the crow's feet, turn right towards Moulin de l'Escouach, then turn towards Guillon and follow the path opposite for 600 meters (south-east direction).

Step 7

At the road to Grand Bernat, continue straight on for 400 meters by the road then the path and turn right towards the south (at the edge of the woods/vineyards). Drive another 600 meters to join the road to Bernachon.

At the road, turn left and leave a road on the right.

Step 9

At about 400 meters, turn right, direction Peline at 200 meters. At Peline, continue on the path (southbound) and reach a fork to follow to the right towards the Auvergnats. At the crossroads take the road opposite for 400 meters.

Step 10

Turn right, before the Courbut stream, head west and drive about 900 meters.

At the crossroads, turn left at La Grangeote then veer onto the road (west) towards Faugère to reach the town of Ruch
