The Saint-Jean church is a Romanesque building built on a site dating from antiquity (later occupied by a Merovingian necropolis). The narrow windows as well as the walls of the nave date back to this Romanesque period.
The facade, the gable wall, the portal and the nave are dated from the Gothic period (this same nave is now more than ten meters wide).
At the time of the Wars of Religion, the building was fortified: watchtowers were added at the angles.
The first town hall of the town was installed in the sacristy (itself dated to the middle of the XNUMXth century).
The two church bells date from the early XNUMXth century.
