It is estimated that this megalithic monument (long dolmen of the Aquitaine avenue type) dates back to between 2600 and 2300 BC. AD (ie the end of the Neolithic). Composed of limestone with asterias, and formerly covered with a tumulus, it was partly dismantled in the middle of the XNUMXth century. At the start of the XNUMXth century, Father Labrie, parish priest of Frontenac and a great history buff, excavated the dolmen. We then discover the remains of eight individuals (three women and five men), six of them are found lying two by two.
Eight like the number of studs left in this covered aisle.
One of the peculiarities of this dolmen is located on the internal face of the bedside slab, on which there are enigmatic engravings made up of circles, lines, or even a horseshoe motif.
Note that only one of the cover tables that were to compose the monument remains today.
