SAINTE-RADEGONDE

This locality with its monastery therefore dates back to the Middle Ages. It was probably founded by monks attracted by the presence of a fountain.
Commune with wine vocation, you will take a very pleasant hilly walk
1

The start

Park in the school parking lot. You have the town hall building behind your back, the church is on your left. On leaving the car park, turn right onto the tarmac road.
2

Step 1

Pass between the houses on a gravel path then take the grassy path as an extension (hiking sign). Follow this grassy path up to the departmental road (D18).
3

Step 2

Cross the secondary road (D18) and take the tarmac driveway opposite. Pass at the foot of the Moulin du Barrail. Continue the path straight (South-East) between the vines, towards the wood. Enter this wood and follow the path. At the exit of the wood, go down along the vine. Arriving near the cellar, cross the small ditch to the right of the oak, then walk along the vines, on your right, towards the house of Brandey.
4

Step 3

From the house, follow the tarmac road, cross the hamlets of Aux Fauries and Jura.
5

Step 4

Further on, turn left in the direction of Couture. Continue on the tarmac road and continue straight on the path between the vines (at house n ° 2 in Couture).
6

Step 5

Head towards the Moulin de la Fantaisie. In the curve at the level of the mill, turn right towards the wood, leaving the mill on your left. After having skirted the vines and the woods, enter it. At the exit of the wood, continue on the path opposite. Pass in front of the Gravy house and follow the tarmac road.
7

Step 6

Arriving at the departmental (D18), turn right. A hundred meters further, at the foot of a transformer pylon, turn left into the path between the vines. The sunken path turns right between brushwood. At the end of this path, turn immediately left and walk between the vines, on the left, and the wooded slope, on the right. Follow this dirt road which makes a curve and, further on, becomes gravel to end on an asphalt road.
8

Step 7

Cross the road and take the dirt road, almost opposite between the hedges. Continue to the menhir.
9

Step 8

At the menhir, turn left into the gravel path. When you reach the Martinau junction, turn left. Pass Cap Blanc and go to the Y junction. At the junction, turn right and pass Capet and Borde. Reach the entrance to Sainte-Radegonde.
10

Step 9

Turn right just before the (listed) church to admire the porch. Follow up to the D15 road. At the roundabout, turn left, then after the church, come back, left, towards the starting point
