Naujan-et-Postiac was formed by the union of two parishes. Several mills, located in the town, have long contributed to its economy (along with agriculture).
The parish church of the town, which is of Romanesque foundation, is dedicated to Saint-Pierre.
It was remodeled in the XNUMXth century (by building a flat apse and two open chapels) and fortified at the same time (as evidenced by its crenellation or watchtower visible from the outside).
The village is crossed by the Engranne stream (tributary of the Dordogne).
