Château Fontbaude

The Château Fontbaude vineyard has existed for over 30 years. In 1967, François Sabate bought 4 ha of vines in the middle of the hillsides, then a few years later, he leased 5 ha. In 1976, his son Christian moved in by purchasing a neighboring property of 4 hectares as well as 5 hectares for rent. The vineyard, which has the particularity of being grassed for more than twenty years, faces south, which gives it some of the best sunshine possible. This method of cultivation makes it possible to regulate the quantity and quality of the grapes; this method also aims to reduce the doses of treatment products and allows the vines to have better resistance.
Since 2000 Yannick SABATE has joined his brother Christian and they both now operate 19 ha of vines. Finally, since 2009, the vineyard has been managed in organic farming.
